marks the cave survey while the shorter lines mark the
cross-sectional transects. Overlapping wall coordinates are
enclosed with boxes. The inset emphasizes a transect overlap and
demonstrates one choice for adjusting the wall coordinates. An
erroneous pinch-out in the 2-D profile of the conduit occurs when
the assumed orientation of a width measurement closely parallels
the preceeding survey line as demonstrated by the survey station
enclosed with a circle.
